Pool Toy Solution

When you have a pool, you need lots of "accessories". These come in the form of floats and foam noodles, and inflatables shaped like alligators, porpoises, and sharks.

These can be quite large and take up alot of room, especially when they have no "cage" to call their home. They tend to lay wherever they can, often on the very chairs that you want to sit on yourself.

Well, this week a brilliant idea came to my mind and one that would make our porch more clutter-free. The other great thing is that we did not have to spend any money. We used something we already had, something that had been disassembed and kept in storage for probably 6 years or more. We pulled it out and reassembled it and it worked perfectly! See.

Isn't that cool! Now, does anyone want to guess what this structure was used for before it became a home for our pool toys? I'll give you a hint. It was used with material draped over parts of it.

A Use for Empty Pill Bottles

What can you use empty pill bottles for?
What about - - -
buttons,
safety pins?
They're see-through.
The lid is "child-proof".
And they're a compact size.

Josiah helped me fill some today,
while I was organizing my sewing stuff.
I did not get a before picture,
but trust me, it was a mess,
which made it hard to find what I needed.
As you can see in the above picture,
I made use of a thread box,
which previously had thread and
assorted other things.
It now just holds thread!

What a great smile Josiah.
I feel the same way
about getting organized!

And this is my completed "notions box",
for lack of a better word.
Everything is neatly in a Ziploc baggie,
or an empty pill bottle,
or it's original container,
so I can find things without dumping
the whole box on the table.
