Week in Review

We celebrated the Light of the World.

We played Pente and Spin the Dreidel (per the kid's request).

I worked on my rug!

Hannah painted and wrote stories.

Josiah played with his dinosaurs.

And. . . we geocached!
(Ha, Ha, . . . it looks like a tiny Josiah balancing on the GPSr)

We logged the following:
1 failed attempt
9 found caches
1 mega geocoin
1 travel bug
1 letterbox

"Yes! I found two!"

Hannah's find
Interesting container
Interesting tree

Our first geocoin
Back of coin
Oh Lucky You, our first travel bug
Back of it
Peacock Place letterbox with mulitcolor stamp
Other tradable loot

"Where's the next one?'

Day Six of Snow

Theron got a workout today scraping snow off the driveway, so he could get the van out and drive us to the grocery store. The main roads weren't bad, but there are still a few icy patches to watch for.

Snow on the roof

We are a three dog home right now due to the fact that we are keeping two other dogs for friends. We still have Marshmallow (who isn't very mellow). . .

Day Four

We're taking a break from SmileBox this time. Not as many pictures to share. Theron went back to work today, leaving a big hole in the snow. Ice and snow are beginning to melt and Hannah got to see a huge icicle loose it's grip and fall to the deck. We had been watching it grow longer every day. I'm sad that it is gone.

I am so glad I don't have to drive a vehicle out in these conditions. Forgive me for being such a wimp when it comes to such things. The most I had to do was walk across the street and that was life threatening enough. I don't mind walking in snow, it's the slippery ice that gets me. Just watch the video at the end.
We are keeping a neighbor's dog until their regular sitter can make it through the ice and snow.
This dog loves kids and the kids love him. Josiah is enjoying running and romping with him.

Hannah and Little Lady enjoyed other pursuits.

Turned to Snow

Theron took our oldest to the Capitol on Friday, two days after she turned nine. A fun adventure for them both, while the younger and I had our own adventures. The day started out normal and then it turned to snow.

Josiah was excited. According to him, God made snow just so we could have fun. I, on the other hand was concerned for the safety of Dad and daughter.

All went well though and we did have fun in the snow, he and I.

Fun Friday - Prints in the Snow

Here in our little part of Georgia, we had some snow that stayed and the kids had a bit of fun with it.

Follow the tracks and you might find a track of another sort. The owner of this one has a cold hand.

Dog on the alert, always looking for danger! Ruff! Ruff!

Boy enjoying making prints, wearing pants that are too short and coat that won't stay zipped.

The artist at work, or the miniature snowplow?

Have a nice weekend!
